There are two Aulnay-sous-Bois: to the south there is a 19th century compact town centre with direct rail links to Paris. While to the north there exists a sprawling conglomeration of 1960’s housing blocks. The project’s site sits literally between the two, at the head of a strip of land that will eventually contain several buildings with a variety of uses. The curved form of the building is draped in a mosaic of dichromatic and reflective metal panels. Inside the rounded form gives rise to a more convivial space, which will host banquets of different sizes. The hall is complemented with support spaces, a large public square and an underground parking garage with 300 places.
