Description

Perched on top of a hill, partly carved into the ground, partly floating above, the new school emulates lightness.
 

The glazed foyer, which steps down the landscape consists of an array of high and low spaces. Connecting with the foyer, a central stair meanders through the large void at the building’s centre, bringing daylight into the deep floorplates.
 

The building is wrapped in a facade of folded glass and translucent screens that diminishes its mass. Between daybreak and sunset, natural light penetrating through the façades and the central atrium of the building change the character of the spaces.
