Description

The buildings are shaped by a search for daylight and direct sun, a sense of identity and belonging to a place where a high quality of living prevails.
 

The density varies throughout the site, enabling higher buildings on the north and a central garden to be bathed with light. No corner buildings means corner apartments; façades are angled toward the easterly or westerly aspects. Building masses are broken down to create individual, small-scale blocks, and break the linearity of the street frontage.
 

Solidly anchored to the ground plane, the buildings’ entrances are clearly identifiable; they pierce through to the inner garden, which becomes a visual benchmark and creates a sense of belonging. Conceived as a neighbourhood park, it links between the buildings’ gardens and the neighbourhood ones, and comprises a playground as well as relaxing areas.
 

One tall building emerges at the prow of the site, affording spectacular views over the park and toward the whole city. Terraces and winter gardens punctuate its façade, as true generous extensions of the living spaces.
